I have a big love for Mason jars (come on, who doesn’t?). I used them in my wedding, I have lots sitting around my house just waiting to be repurposed… and hopefully I’ll get around to using some of these ideas myself soon!
For today’s round-up, I couldn’t resist posting these adorable ideas.
1. Floating Candle Jars
2. Clear Glass Ball Cluster Swag
3. Floating Vase
4. Soap Dispenser

Any of you have any other favorite ways to use mason jars?
Yesterday I went over to my friend Kerrie’s house for Tea and Crafts and Crumpets (aka cookies, pastries, and other yummies). Kerrie has a fantastic blog called Sea Kettle Diaries — go check it out! She’s super creative and had a bunch of girls over today for crafts. Most people brought something to work on, but since I didn’t really have anything I was working on at home, she provided some stuff I could get creative with.
Some of us made MOD PODGE PICTURE MAGNETS! This is a great gift idea, or if you’re like me, and don’t have many magnets on your own fridge, make some for yourself! I was like a magnet making factory. I just couldn’t stop finding cute pictures I wanted to make magnets out of. 🙂
Here’s all you’ll need:
- Some magazines you can clip pictures out of (or find pictures online and print them out)
- Mod Podge
- Glass pebbles ($1 at the Dollar Tree for a whole bag of them!)
- Magnets to glue onto the back of the stones
Here was the result of my afternoon. I had a lot of fun, and these are super easy! Thanks for the great idea, Kerrie! She also told me you can get some Altoid tins, mod podge-decorate those, and put a few magnets inside the tin to give as gifts.
